Reward Casinos in Ontario: My 2025 Experience with the Casino Rewards Group
Player Beware ConnexOntario 19+ OnlyThe Rewards Casinos in Ontario were among the first I checked out when the provincial marketplace got going in 2022. The shared loyalty program was a big draw for me, and games by Microgaming (now Games Global) is always a plus.

One drawback, as you'll soon read in the reviews, is that there's huge overlap between the sites. Yes, there are some differences but a trick was missed to differentiate things more, even if just in terms of style. A bit more variety would've given each casino a bit more of a distinct identity.
Also, the lack of mobile apps at the sites is a downside for Android and iOS gamers.
Casino Rewards Member Casinos for Ontario Reviewed
Casino Rewards has a range of different betting sites under its umbrella that are available for players in the province to enjoy. There are 7 Rewards Brands licensed by the AGCO under Apollo Entertainment. Frustratingly, one of the key differences is welcome bonuses, but due to the AGCO's ruling that detailing them is forbidden I can only advise you to check these out for yourself.

My Experience With Zodiac Casino Ontario - No Mobile App, and the Loyalty Program
First on my list is Zodiac Casino, which might be right up the street of the astrologically inclined. The astrology symbols form the backdrop to the site logo, but that seems to be as far as things go stylistically.
There's no app on the site, which is, sadly, not usual for the Rewards sites. Newcomers can take advantage of an introductory, five-tier promotion but this does feature a terrible 200x wagering requirement (WR) for the first two deposits. After that it becomes rather better at 30x, but I do dislike the horrendous 200x.
When it comes to games, I think Zodiac Casino's got a great selection, with over 1,000 games from top software developers. Among these are Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play, and Games Global. It's one of the best $1 deposit casinos (although the standard $50 withdrawal minimum still applies). Overall, I think this means Zodiac's got a strong case to be top dog here.
But there could be more payment methods (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and Interac are on the list). And if you make a direct bank transfer then expect a $50 fee (or $100 for withdrawing more than $3,000).
There is a Loyalty Program, as on other Ontario Casino Rewards sites, but as this has its own section later in the review I'll cover it in detail there. I will say that the Loyalty section does have plenty of fun stuff, and I always started my gaming day by checking that out first.

My Experience with Captain Cooks Casino Ontario - Good Games, Low Min Deposit, Sky High WR
Captain Cooks Casino was quick off the mark, becoming established in the provincial marketplace in its early days in September 2022. I'm a fan of the major software firms, Games Global and Pragmatic Play, which contribute to the 903+ games on offer. That being said, the slots range is smaller than many other casinos, which can hit one or two thousand. The live casino (as with every casino reviewed here) hosts all the major games, blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and game shows, but it's definitely dwarfed by the slots selection.
However, I do like the new Rooms category. This provides an easy way to find games by Pragmatic, popular games (and, separately, popular games with a high win rate), high volatility, exclusives, and many more. I should stress this isn't Captain Cooks only, this applies to all the Rewards casinos.
I like the low minimum deposit. Captain Cooks is one of the best $5 deposit casinos in Ontario. I'm a bottle tops bettor myself, so being able to transfer just $5 is a plus, but one slightly undone by the minimum withdrawal of $50 ($300 by WIRE). Although the ability to use cards (AmEx, Visa, Mastercard) or Interac is enough for my own habits, it's way too limited a list on an objective basis. In this day and age I think e-wallets (and perhaps Paysafecard) need to be on the list.
Fees can also apply when making a DBT (direct bank transfer) withdrawal (mostly $50 but $100 for withdrawals over $3,000). I can't give a free pass to this, fees are rare nowadays and it's a drawback of not just this casino but these Casino Rewards reviews generally.
Another black mark, although far from unique to Captain Cooks, is the 200x wagering requirement for the first two bonus deposits. This drops to a nicer 30x thereafter, but 200x really is horrendous.

My Experience with Yukon Gold Casino - Welcome Bonus but High WR
I don't game much on mobiles, being a dinosaur, but the lack of an app is a weakness for the Rewards casinos, including this one.
Navigating the site itself was very similar to the others on this list, though. From the search bar to the top menu of main categories to lack of software filters it's like the rest.
Speaking of software, there are over 1,000 games, from three developers: Microgaming (now Games Global), Evolution, and Pragmatic Play. As a reviewer, I've got to note that this is still a pretty average number, but as a player I tend to just play a few games. So while more games are better, 800-1,000 is still fine for many bettors.
As with other casinos on this list, Yukon Gold has video poker, a live casino, progressive jackpots (8), and variety games. The last category includes some interesting takes on classics, such as Thunderstruck II Video Bingo. It's busier than some other casinos, which might be an issue if you're into live gaming, but won't matter if you're into slots.
Players can deposit as low as $10, but minimum withdrawals are $50, and only Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Interac are supported. That's fine for me, being old-fashioned, but no e-wallets/Paysafecard is a bit weak these days. Plus, direct bank transfers come with fees of $50-$100, which isn't great.

My Experience with Luxury Casino - Top Software Studios, Live Games, but Familiar Drawbacks
I was glad to see not just classic table games but also game shows available in Luxury Casino's live section. It's one of my go-to sites for live gaming, because it's a bit less busy than some other casinos. There are video poker games on offer but, as always, the main event at the casino is the slots. Game totals top 850, but that's still on the smaller side in the modern casino industry.
This made it especially ironic that Luxury Casino has games from some of the biggest and best names in the casino world: Games Global, Evolution, and Pragmatic Play. As is usual for the network, there didn't appear to be any mobile apps available when I checked.
Progressive slots on offer include the biggest of them all: Mega Moolah (plus Mega Vault Millionaire, Immortal Romance Maple Moolah, and more).
There are surprise and exclusive games available, and many other features found through the Casino Rewards network. These include a sadly enormous 200x WR on the first two stages of a welcome bonus, and DBT withdrawal fees of at least $50. I'd like to be able to offer more details on the bonuses beyond WR, but this is contrary to the view of the AGCO, so apologies for just mentioning the WR.
The site layout is practically identical to other member casinos. As this was one of the later sites I came across, the similarity was becoming a bit grating at this point.

My Experience with Casino Classic - Progressive Jackpots, Top Developers, but Possible Withdrawal Fees
Casino Classic Ontario was one of the very first casinos in the province, being founded in April 2022. In common with other Ontario Casino Rewards casinos there is a multi-tier welcome deposit bonus, but the initial two stages have a 200x wagering requirement. This is awfully high and does not represent great value. After that it drops to 30x, which is decent enough, but I don't like having to wade through 200x to reach the good stuff.
It's also affiliated with eCOGRA, the independent testing firm which ensures games are run on a fair basis. While not essential, I always like seeing this as it's a reassuring sign.
There's a nice, if small, set of software developers, though. I like Games Global and Pragmatic Play, and the live games come from specialist studio Evolution and Pragmatic Live. The total number of games is 893+, which is a little on the dinky side these days. However, I like the selection of progressive jackpots, which are ideal for those who dream of a life-changing win.
I'm an old school player, so one of my first ports of call here is to check the Table Games category and dive into some classic blackjack.
If claiming the exclusive deposit deal you can get started from just $1, but withdrawals must be at least $50. That's a bit on the high side. Withdrawals have a 48hr pending period then a time frame varying by method, and, for a first withdrawal, additional verification will take place. That can take up to 5-7 days and while I know that's tedious it's something that can't really be helped.
Making a DBT withdrawal incurs a $50 fee, which isn't great, and this rises to $100 for sums over $3k. Other withdrawal methods are fee-free. In common with other Casino Rewards Group Ontario sites, players have just Amex, Visa, Mastercard, and Interac for transfers. I'm old-fashioned and using cards is fine, but there really should be a broader range.
-
My Experience with Golden Tiger Casino - Exclusive and Random Games, but High WR
Golden Tiger Casino is legal in Ontario and also joined the provincial market in 2022 (a common theme in these reviews). There's a welcome bonus here too, and, at the risk of repeating myself, it has the standard problem of a good 30x wagering requirement but only for the later deposits. The first two have the 200x WR, which isn't great.
Golden Tiger has over 1,000 games, and I like the fact these include some exclusive games you'll only find at Rewards Casinos. Another feature I enjoyed was the Surprise Me option, perfect for when option paralysis strikes. Both the exclusives and Surprise Me options apply across the board at Rewards casinos. Games come from Pragmatic Play and Games Global. A nice distinguishing feature is that the live casino's not quite so busy, which I've found makes it a little easier to use.
However, I was slightly surprised the minimum deposit was $10 (higher than for some other sites in Casino Rewards Canada). It's a small downside, but coupled with the $50 minimum withdrawal that does make Golden Tiger slightly less accessible for players on a budget.

My Experience with Grand Mondial Casino - Nice Array of Software Studios, No Mobile Apps
In common with other casinos reviewed above, I found Grand Mondial Ontario to have a similar navigational approach. There's a direct search bar top right, with a top menu covering the major gaming categories. Because I'm a sucker for mythology, I tend to head for Rooms and then the Epic Saga slots.
At the bottom of the page are Promotions, Loyalty, Games, Bank, and Help options. The casino, which started operating provincially in 2022, has 900+ games and a live casino covering all the bases.
As ever with Rewards sites, the top software studios whose games are available here, include Games Global, Evolution, and Pragmatic Play. In common with other sites, players can filter by Pragmatic Play games (within the Slots category), along with 1-20 lines, 25+ lines, 3 reel, and 5 reel subcategories.
In other ways I found it to be a pretty standard Casino Rewards site, with minimum deposits/withdrawals of $10 and $50. Payment methods are major cards and Interac, with fees for DBT withdrawals. And, once again, the welcome promo starts off with a terribly high 200x wagering requirement, which really undercuts the value of the deal.
The casino also has no apps, but this is a common theme across the Rewards Group. So, while a downside, I can't mark down Grand Mondial individually for this absence.
What Is the Casino Rewards Group in Ontario?
The Casino Rewards Group was established in 2000, and has seven Ontario members (all covered in the reviews above). The Rewards Group was quick off the mark to enter the nascent Ontario domestic market in 2022, and offers a network of bonuses and games that has made millionaires (sadly, I'm not one of them).
There's actually over 20 Canadian sites within the Casino Rewards Group, but only seven of these operate in Ontario, under the banner of Apollo Entertainment. The Rewards Group sends out a monthly newsletter, and players can receive special offers from weekly e-mails.
All casinos within Ontario require licensing from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to legally provide gaming. Is Casino Rewards legal in Ontario? Naturally, all sites in Casino Rewards have AGCO licences. One way I double check this is by ensuring any casino I'm considering is also on iGaming Ontario's approved operators list[1].
This can also be a useful way to get the right Ontario site, as sometimes casinos have a different Canadian address and it just saves time finding the right place immediately. Is there a huge difference, Casino Rewards Canada vs Ontario? Not really but it's a matter of legality, and if something goes wrong a player will want to be able to contact the AGCO.
My Overall Experience with Casino Rewards Casinos
I've got to say there are some nice perks to the Casino Rewards Casinos. Yes, the gaming library size is middle-of-the-road but the options include Casino Rewards Microgaming games (nowadays the studio's known as Games Global). And there are more from Pragmatic Play and live dealer specialist Evolution. I also really like the simple idea of having a random game if a player can't decide what to play.
The common navigational setup makes it very straightforward to slip from one site to next without having to re-learn where everything is. The downside is that I wish there were more payment options.
Mobile apps are absent. While this doesn't bother me personally it is a bit of a weak spot. And transfer limits are a mixed bag, with pretty low (sometimes very low) deposit thresholds but a common withdrawal minimum of $50, which is about twice as high as many other casinos.
I can't go too far into bonus details as that contravenes the AGCO's ruling that providing such info is prohibited, but there is a welcome bonus that looks pretty appealing. Just bear in mind what I repeated in the reviews, a 200x WR is horrendous, so if you opt in my advice is to get through that rapidly then take advantage of the much more reasonable 30x rate.
Loyalty is something that casinos are keen to foster because the market's so competitive, and the Casino Rewards loyalty program is how the Group encourages this. Jackpots are drawn regularly, and more become available the higher through the status levels you get. I've got to admit, I don't play enough for loyalty clubs to usually be worth it for me, but for a more focused bettor this can offer value.
Are Casino Rewards Casinos Legit in Ontario?
As I mentioned above, all the Ontario Casino Rewards sites feature the appropriate licensing by the AGCO, and listing by iGaming Ontario. Another nice feature is the common affiliation with independent auditing firm eCOGRA, which provides an added layer of confidence the games are being run fairly.
Responsible gambling is critically important because even if you've gambled a lot it's possible to get carried away. Casino Rewards sites such as Zodiac Casino offer advice, a self-assessment test, and links to ConnexOntario. Most importantly, there's the chance to set limits for login duration, losses, and deposits, and the ability to take a break or self-exclude if need be. I advocate making immediate use of the limits, just to stay on the safe side.
Casino Rewards Loyalty Program: Is It Worth It?
Among the best Casino Reward sites' (Ontario) features is the loyalty program. This is a multi-stage system with tiers Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond each having their own jackpot. Players remain eligible for lower tier jackpots (a Gold member can win the Bronze/Silver/Gold jackpots, for example). These prizes are drawn five times, thrice daily, for 15 daily chances to win.
A downside is that you only have eight hours to claim a jackpot. Different numbers of Status points are required to reach or maintain a certain level, so it's entirely possible to descend to a lower level.
Moving up the ranks requires earning Status points, with 1 for every 50 VIP points (which are earned by wagering). VIP points can also be used as casino credits to play games for free, with no expiry date.
In addition to jackpot payouts, the loyalty program offers automatic entry into the Time of Your Life Sweepstakes. High Status levels mean more tickets, and prizes include "once-in-a-lifetime" experiences and more. Holidays and luxury/technology gifts are on the agenda.
The Loyalty section also reveals not just your current points tally but also which games are offering double points, and the chance to claim rewards (if you win a draw). This is also where you can pick your prize for the TOYL Sweepstakes, just in case you win, plus there's the Thunderball draw. I also like the daily prize from the little present box at the top of the screen, which provides a freebie such as free spins.
Pros and Cons of the Casino Rewards Group
- There's over half a dozen Casino Rewards sites and the common pool for Status levels means there's no penalty for moving around.
- Games by Microgaming/Games Global are some of the very best around, and their inclusion is a major selling point for me.
- There are bonuses for both newcomers and, extensively, for existing players, which adds to the value of signing up.
- Trust is a premium commodity in online gambling and Casino Rewards Ontario has earned it over the years (as indicated by the eCOGRA affiliation).
- There's a very similar UX for the various sites which leaves them feeling rather 'samey' instead of distinct and more interesting.
- I'm not a fan of how complex the loyalty system is, with multiple tiers, different types of points, and different points totals require for reaching and maintaining a given level.
- There's also a lack of variety with bonuses, and this repetition can get a bit boring after a while.
Tips for Playing at Casino Rewards Casinos in Ontario
There's a lot of overlap between the different sites, but some differences I can point to might help you pick the right casino.
- Mobile gamers probably want to look at Zodiac or Yukon Gold and check out the Google Play store.
- I prefer playing with small stakes, and if you're also on a tighter budget then check out Captain Cooks, Casino Classic, and Zodiac Casino, which have lower minimum deposits.
- Be aware that bonuses come with varying WR at different stages, and different games contribute at varying levels. I don't have space to list all the WR-contribution details, but slots contribute 100% and are your best bet for meeting this condition. My own approach would be to rapidly blast through the 200x stages then make the most of the more appealing 30x WR.
- Zodiac Casino tops the table for the gaming library/software range, so if you like a large variety then this is the place to play. When it comes to table games, Zodiac and Casino Classic have a good selection, but I've got to say there isn't a huge difference from one site to another.
Player Beware: Withdrawal Concerns, High WR, and Excessive Similarity
Last Updated: Thurs. Aug 07, 2025
The Casinomeister forum has a worrying thread about a player trying to withdraw and suffering a locked account (though it's unclear if the matter was resolved or not)[2]. Another concern is from TrustPilot reviews, which also report delays and difficulties receiving withdrawals[3].
Another point of concern is the $100k fine that the AGCO imposed on Apollo Entertainment in 2023. This was due to failings regarding responsible gambling standards.
The 200x WR has been mentioned a lot but it really is awful. In addition, welcome offers overlap across the various brands, and bonus terms can be confusing.
Microgaming/Games Global is a great firm but its universal inclusion means a risk of repetitive gameplay. On that note, the brands/sites are highly similar which I found to be a bit tedious at times. And the loyalty program could be a lot clearer in the way it works.
Responsible Gambling at Casino Rewards Ontario Sites
I like that Casino Rewards sites offer take a break (24hrs to 3 months) and self-exclusion (6 months to 5 years) options for players. Responsible gaming is encouraged by general good advice and a self-assessment test on the responsible gambling page.
In addition, players have options to set up limits for session times, losses, and deposits (which I heartily recommend taking advantage of). Third parties such as ConnexOntario and filtering programs are linked to, and the base of the page has a link to iGaming Ontario (which has its own responsible gambling section).
I like that the limits and self-exclusion can be either set up with software (nice and quick) or via contacting casino staff, for players who feel they want to discuss matters and perhaps receive guidance. Everything seems pretty clear to me, and there's good advice offered at the top of the responsible gambling section.
FAQs: Casino Rewards Ontario
-
Are Casino Rewards casinos legal in Ontario?
Yes, the seven sites I've reviewed here on this page are legal in Ontario and all have an iGaming Ontario license meaning they are regulated by the AGCO. -
Which Casino Rewards brand is best in Ontario?
This is subjective but I'd go for Zodiac or Casino Classic because of the low deposit threshold, especially if you just want to see what all the fuss is about. -
Can you win real money on Casino Rewards casinos?
Yes, if you play real money games, you have the chance of winning. It's worth noting that while Casino Rewards is synonymous with massive jackpots, winning is always a matter of chance. -
What is the minimum deposit at Ontario Casino Rewards casinos?
This varies from one site to another, the lowest is $1 at Zodiac and Classic, Captain Cooks allows you to deposit $5, but $10 is more common which you'll find at Yukon Gold and the others listed on this page. -
Do Casino Rewards casinos have a loyalty program?
Yes, and it's amazing. It has some exclusive perks like the TOYL Sweepstakes, daily prize draws that are often over $5,000, and it's shared across all the Rewards Casinos in Ontario, so you can use your points and earn more wherever you play.
Final Thoughts on Casino Rewards in Ontario (2025)
On balance, I would recommend the Casino Rewards sites, with one caveat: if you're an iOS or Android gamer then the lack of a mobile app may be a deal-breaker. I'm not, but fully appreciate a preferred gaming style can be make or break.
While the gaming libraries could be bigger, the software studios are some of my favourites (Pragmatic Play and Games Global). Plus, a huge library is sometimes a vanity number rather than practically useful. The loyalty program's a positive, although I wish they made it a bit simpler (I don't gamble because I loved maths homework as a kid and want some more).
New players, after setting up responsible gambling limits, might want to check out progressive jackpots if you dream of a huge prize. Personally, I'd take things slow and try out a high RTP game like blackjack, video poker, or a slot such as Wild Orient (97.5%) to get to grips with things. The fact the Group states its games offer 97%+ payout rates is a nice feature.
In 2025, the time of writing, Casino Rewards has added the Rooms category, which makes navigating much easier than it used to be. The Highest Win Rate Guarantee, made in 2025, is a pledge that players will receive the best possible RTP from slots, which is obviously very welcome.
