Spinz Ontario: Diverse Games Library, Some Rough Edges
Verdict: SAFE TO PLAY HERE Player Beware ConnexOntario 19+ OnlySpinz Ontario was quick to join the new Ontario marketplace and was established in October 2022. I really like diversity when it comes to gaming libraries and there are dozens of software studios contributing, so there's something for just about everyone. The live casino's also above average in size, with over 170 games, and with 2,300+ games total there's plenty to keep players busy.

I don't go for mobile gaming much myself but the lack of apps is a minor disappointment (the site is optimised for mobile platforms, so if this is your bag you can still enjoy the casino). Another small drawback is the lack of sports betting.
Here's the short version of the info you probably want to know about:
What You Need to Know:
- Established in Ontario in October 2022
- Licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
- Over 45 software developers
- Interac payments supported
What I liked: - Large selection of games, not just slots but in the live casino too.
What I Didn't Like: 5% fee (minimum 10 CAD) can apply to withdrawals if a deposit hasn't been played through 1x.
My Rating: - 3.5 out of 5
For all the reasons why I went for a good but not great 3.5 out of 5, read the full review below.
My Experience - Good Casino, But Weird Lack Of Clarity
A large collection of both games and developers means a wide range of themes, gameplay mechanics, and art styles, which is a big tick in my book. Navigation is largely straightforward and it was easy for me to find what I was looking for, with a couple of very odd exceptions (see below). Many slots are standard for casinos but a big live casino is a nice surprise.
Doing this for a living means I check casino T&C's way more than a normal person, and there's a weird absence for item 5.12 (explained below). A similar lack of clarity exists over Yggdrasil.

Player Beware: Potential Withdrawal/Inactivity Fees, And KYC Delays
Last Updated: Thurs. Jul. 31, 2025
Rootz (the firm under which Spinz Casino Ontario operates) does have a few things lurking in the terms and conditions that made me raise my eyebrows. A withdrawal fee may be charged if the player hasn't turned over equal to or more than the deposit placed. This fee would be at least 10 CAD, and stands at a rate of 5%. In short, if you deposit $50 and immediately win and try to withdraw your winnings, you could get whacked with a 5% fee. To be fair, this will show up before a withdrawal is confirmed, but it's still a bit harsh. (Terms and Conditions 7.14).
In addition, I'm never a fan of inactivity fees, especially when there's a weird lack of clarity. Item 5.12 of the Terms and Conditions features a €5 (or CAD equivalent) fee for inactivity, meaning no logins for 12 months. But 5.12 is only present on the Canadian version of the site, not the Ontario page, which jumps from 5.11 to 5.13.
KYC requirements are nobody's favourite part of a casino, and Spinz Ontario having delays of up to 4 months, as per one complaint[1], is less than fantastic. If you can't get verified despite providing documentation then withdrawals are impossible.
Spinz Ontario - Welcome Bonus & Promotions
Spinz Casino Ontario does have welcome bonuses which can include deposit matches and free spins, but I can't give you the details because this is contrary to the AGCO. The provincial regulator does not legally permit this, so I'm afraid you'll have to check the website for yourself.
Games and Software - Nice Selection, Iffy Search Function?
There are over 2,385 games from over 45 software developers so slick navigation is a must-have to avoid drowning in a sea of slots. The main games page has a search bar, and categories including Popular, Slots, High Volatility, Live Casino, Table Games, and All Games.
The page also comes with a selection for players to browse, covering Popular, New Games, Double Speed, Best of Playson, Spotlight, Live Casino, New Provider, Drops & Wins, Feature Buy, Hold & Win, Megaways, and Lucky Charm. A quick check found that Yggdrasil is advertised as available but a search didn't yield any results, which was slightly disappointing.
The live casino has 178 live dealer games, covering blackjack (48 results), baccarat (24), roulette (26), although poker appears to be absent. While game shows like Travel Fever and Treasure Island are present, not all of these show up in a search (and I like that searches can be done within the top categories, such as Live Casino).
Payment Methods - Low Minimum Transfers
I'm always glad to see Interac on the supported banking methods list. There are five others available for players, including Visa and Mastercard, instant banking with Instadebit, and e-wallets MuchBetter and Payz. Minimum deposits of $10 and withdrawals of $20 make Spinz Ontario a good choice for smaller bettors, but note that card and wire transfer withdrawals face pending periods of 1-3 business days (e-wallets are instant).
There are withdrawal caps, and, while I'd prefer there to be none, $10,000 a day, $25,000 weekly, or $100,000 a month is towards the higher end of the Ontario online casino sites that apply them. Anyone lucky enough to be a VIP might be able to surpass these limits.

Customer Support - Live Chat Replied In 1 Minute, But No Phone Support
Unfortunately, all technology can face problems, so having prompt and helpful customer service is essential. Spinz Ontario has a good-sized FAQ section to check out before needing to contact the support team, and topics covered include Account, Authorization of Local Services, Bonuses, Casino, Deposits & Withdrawals, Games, Mobile Gaming, Responsible Gaming, and Security.
But if the answer can't be found there then customer support can be reached by live chat on a 24/7 basis. E-mail is another option for non-urgent matters. A cheeky quick test of the live chat got a reply within one minute.
Downsides are no telephone line, and an atrocious TrustPilot rating[2]. However, individual reviews cannot be verified and there isn't a huge number (66 at the time of writing), and the Casino Guru site rates the customer support as good[3].

Licensing & Responsible Gambling - AGCO License, Array of RG Tools
Spinz Casino Ontario (operated by Rootz Limited) is licensed by the AGCO and gets a green light. I also recommend checking the iGaming Ontario list for provincial sites, and the casino appears there as well. In addition to following regulator-mandated processes, the casino uses AI to identify suspicious gameplay. Players will find steps like OTPs help to maintain a good level of security.
I know we all dream of winning big but it's important to keep betting a fun and safe pastime, and this is where responsible gaming tools come into play. Spinz Ontario has limits for time, net loss, deposit, and wagering. Tighter limits are effective immediately, looser limits take 24 hours to become effective.
Timeouts/self-exclusions, from a day to 5 years, are available (during which there will be no marketing from the casino, a sensible approach in my eyes). The site also links to third parties that can help keep betting safe, including ConnexOntario, Gambling Therapy, Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare, NetNanny, and Cyberpatrol.
Mobile Gaming At Spinz Ontario - No Apps Available
One of the casino's weak spots is the lack of mobile apps, and players who like smartphones/tablets more than a dinosaur like me might be disheartened. However, the site is optimised to work for mobile devices and nearly all the games present can be accessed with a smartphone or tablet. And because games are designed from day one to work on mobile devices nowadays you shouldn't encounter any problems.

Final Verdict - Good Casino But Room To Improve
I like the casino quite a lot, from the array of games to the excellent tools for responsible gambling. Quick live chat customer responses are always nice to see too. But I've got to admit, this might be the first time I've seen weird little absences like Yggdrasil from the search and item 5.12 from the terms and conditions. Obviously these can be tightened up, and adding apps would be another good step. And I'm always in favour of low deposit/withdrawal thresholds, so that's another positive. Overall, I've gone for a 3.5/5.
