Maverick Games Ontario - Looks Nice But Nowhere Near Enough Games
Verdict: SAFE TO PLAY HERE Player Beware ConnexOntario 19+ OnlyMaverick Games is a new online casino in Ontario that launched in June 2025. In addition to slots and casino games it supports Interac payments, and offers sports and eSports betting. As a brand new site there hasn't been much time for reviews, praise, or complaints. I've gone over how the casino looks and whether it seems attractive or a place to avoid.

What You Need to Know:
- Established in 2025
- Sports/eSports betting
- Interac supported
- Small games library
What I liked: Good filtering options for easy browsing
What I Didn't Like: Games library is way too small
My Rating: 2 out of 5

My Experience - Nice Style, But Lacking Substance
I appreciate the easy-on-the-eyes colour scheme and the font's a good size too (unlike some casinos which insist on eye-strainingly small fonts). Generally, navigating the site is straightforward, and there are good filtering options for the games. But there are some big downsides.
I was astonished that there are under 200 games despite having multiple developers (and these are big beasts, not minnows). That simply isn't enough when other Ontario casino sites have over 2,000 and many have way more than that. Interac's the only banking method currently available, and that's another major weak spot. It is true the casino is very new (just a couple of months old as I write this) so hopefully it'll grow rapidly. It's a shame, because I quite like the look of the site but that's not enough to compensate for two critical failures.
What's Covered In This Review:

Player Beware: New Casino With Uncertain Reputation
Last Updated: Sun. Aug 17, 2025
Because Maverick Games Ontario is a very recent arrival there aren't any complaints as yet, or time for a good reputation to have been built. However, I did see that in July 2025 Maverick Gaming filed for bankruptcy[1]. The operator had 17 Washington card rooms and other locations in Nevada and Colorado. While this is a land-based problem, it did raise my eyebrows.
Maverick Games Ontario Bonus - A Glaring Absence
In what might be a first for me in years of reviewing casinos, it seems Maverick Games does not currently offer bonuses for Ontario players. However, there is a Bonus section in the Terms and Conditions so this may change and free spins and the like will be on offer in the future. However, if and when this happens I won't be able to provide details as this is against the AGCO's view that this counts as promotion and is, therefore, not permitted.
Games and Software - Very Small Selection
For many people games are the key factor and I'm afraid Maverick Games Ontario is a letdown. It sounds promising that the casino has multiple software providers and they include good names: NetEnt, Red Tiger, Evolution, NoLimit City, and BigTime Gaming. There are also nice filtering options for easier browsing. The problem is there just aren't enough games. The total's under 200, which is just way too low.
There is a live casino, but it's very small, with Evolution providing 11 live dealer games and a handful more from other providers. This does include baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and game shows. Incidentally, you won't be able to directly check the live casino without signing in but if you go to casino games and filter by Evolution the main selection is there. And it's just too small. I've got to say I'm perplexed that the casino's got a good set of software developers but only has a minimum of games (just 46 from NetEnt, for example).

Payment Methods - Disappointingly, Just Interac
The banking methods were also a disappointment as there seems to only be one available - Interac. While this is a popular system of personal finance in Canada it's very rare to find a casino that doesn't offer at least cards as well. I'm greatly surprised by this and it's another black mark.
Minimum deposits are $20, and while there's no hard upper limit on withdrawals exceeding $10,000 may lead to a review and be subject to approval.

Customer Support - Too New to Have a Good/Bad Reputation
Maverick Games Ontario has a fairly extensive FAQs section which might answer problems without needing to contact support. If necessary, the customer service team can be reached via e-mail or through the support portal, but the latter does require signing in. There's also a telephone number, but this is mentioned in the FAQs rather than the Help Centre, so it's easily missed.
Because the casino is very new there hasn't been time for customer support to acquire a reputation for excellent or poor service.
Licensing, Security, Responsible Gambling - AGCO Licence & Good Responsible Gambling Toolkit
I always check for a licensing arrangement before seriously considering joining a site, as the absence thereof is a deal-breaker. Maverick Games Ontario is licensed by the AGCO. Games are independently tested by a verified testing agency, according to the FAQs, though no organisation is named. Player funds are kept separate from operating funds to maintain their security.
Responsible gambling tools are critical for player safety and I was pleased that self-exclusion for varying lengths of time is possible, and players may also close their accounts entirely. Limits can be set up on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for deposits, casino play, casino loss, and sportsbook spending. Additional support can be found via a link to ConnexOntario.
Maverick Games on Mobile - No Apps, But Fully Responsive Site
While I prefer desktop myself, mobile gaming's a huge slice of the casino player base and no mobile apps here is a drawback. But it's worth remembering that modern casino games are designed to work seamlessly with mobile devices via browser. There is a reference to a mobile application in 1.1 of the Terms so this may be introduced in the future.

Maverick Ontario Final Verdict - Just Too Small to Recommend
I'll start with the positives: I like Maverick Games Ontario's filtering options to browse games more easily and the overall design of the site. The colour scheme is easy on the eyes and the font is a good size. And there's a good set of responsible gambling tools.
But the downsides are pretty obvious. The number of games, both slots and live casino, is just too small. Interac's nice but more banking methods are needed. Because this is one of the new online casinos in Ontario they may well update it in the not too distant future to offer more games and banking methods, but right now it's lacking on both fronts and has no bonuses. Between these failings I've got to rate it 2/5.
