Online Gambling Revenue in Ontario is CA$311 Million for July 2025

Are player numbers starting to decrease? Let's take a close look at what's going on for online gambling in Ontario.

Revenue Increase for Ontario Online Gambling July 2025
The non-adjusted gross revenue from Ontario iGaming is reportedly up 29% compared to the previous year. The revenue from online gambling in Ontario was reported at CA$311 million in July 2025, which is an increase from the previous year and more than what was generated in June 2025.
Data was released from iGaming Ontario which shows a 29% year on year increase. There was also a 1% increase on the revenues from June, but a decrease from the CA$338 million from May of 2025.
Online Casinos the Clear Winner For Ontario
The figures that were released show that Ontario's legal online casinos are the clear winner accounting for CA$252.3 million of the revenue from July. This is 81% of the total. Sports betting only accounted for 17% of the revenue with CA$52 million, and online poker came in at just 2% with CA$5.9 million.
With over 77+ AGCO licensed Ontario online casinos it looks like casino gaming is the clear favorite among players with slots dominating.
CA$7.56 Billion Spent on Online Gambling By Ontarians in July 2025
Moving away from the revenue made by Ontario iGaming, the actual amount that Ontarians spent on online gambling in the month of July was CA$7.56 billion. This is a 24% increase on the previous year and a 4% increase on the spend reported for June 2025.
Again, Ontario online casinos were where most of spend came from with CA$6.74 billion spent on online casino games. This accounts for 89% of the overall spend. The amount spent on sports betting was CA$688 million and online poker came in at CA$139 million.
The report from the iGO also included player figures and stated that in July the number of active accounts in the province stood at 948,000. This number is a 6% reduction compared to June, but the average revenue earned per active player increased to CA$328 which is an 8% increase month on month.
