FanDuel Ontario launched in April 2022 even though FanDuel itself has been around for a little while, starting life as a fantasy sports outfit before expanding into betting. The casino features live tables, plenty of slots, and some games you won't find anywhere else. In this review, I've combed through the fine print and background details to find anything worth being wary of, plus I've checked out the games and banking methods, and anything else you need to know.

What you need to know:

What I liked: Excellent responsible gambling tools to encourage player safety

What I Didn't Like: Navigation could be better for non-game subjects (help centre etc)

My Rating: 4 out of 5

My Experience - Top Class Software; Second Class Navigation

My quick take on FanDuel is that it's great for games and finding them. Categories, direct searching, and software filtering is all available, and the software developers are top notch. Finding other stuff can be weirdly difficult (and I write this as someone who has a long history of checking out casinos and other sites professionally). It's easy to miss the help centre even if you're looking for it.

What's Covered In This Review:

Player Beware: Withdrawals Can Encounter Gremlins

Last Updated: Fri. Jul. 25, 2025

As a good ex-schoolboy, I know the importance of doing my homework and looking into the background of FanDuel Ontario does reveal a few gremlins. Nothing's worse than delays to withdrawals but there are multiple claims on Reddit of the 'pending' period lasting multiple days. To make matters worse, big withdrawals can seemingly trigger account blocks and lengthy delays for security reviews, turning the best part of casino gaming into huge frustration[1].

Another problem that popped up was in the terms and conditions (item 7.1). I know credit cards might seem old hat but they're still widely used and anyone making a chargeback will get a $5 fee, which isn't great. Worse still is that any chargeback initiated which requires pre-arbitration proceedings gets lumbered with a $500 fee.

FanDuel Ontario Bonus

There are bonuses available at FanDuel Casino Ontario but I'm afraid you'll have to check them out for yourself to find the details. I know that's a bit of a drag but the AGCO forbids 'promotion' of special offers by sites like ours, and that includes sharing bonus details.

Games and Software Section - I Liked the Daily Jackpots and (Mostly) Easy Navigation

There's a handy bar at the top of FanDuel Ontario's casino which has categories including Slots, Progressive, Exclusives, Daily Jackpots, and more. I really like this approach to navigation, makes things nice and quick. The Trending category's nice for finding what's currently hot, but personally I prefer the option to check Recently Played games (on the homepage, not the top bar).

There's also a direct search function so if you want to find something (like one of my favourites, Evolution/NetEnt's Mercy of the Gods, which the casino features) it's super convenient.

At first glance there doesn't seem to be a way to filter by developer, but if you enter the Slots category then it's available under the filter option. Speaking of which, software providers also include AGS, Everi, Evolution, Games Global, IGT, and Light & Wonder. The Exclusive games add something distinctive, with just under 50 in this category.

There are 1,717 games in total, of which 86 are in the live section. While game shows aren't my cup of tea it's good they're available and I was happy to see there are plenty of blackjack tables. Roulette and baccarat are also present in abundance, but there's just two poker, one craps, and three sic bo tables. Overall, the live casino's pretty good without being amazing.

Payment Methods - Nice Low Limits but Sloooow Withdrawals

I always like seeing Interac supported, and FanDuel Ontario has it on the list. Credit/debit cards can also be used, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. PayPal's a handy alternative for players who already have an account with this leading e-wallet or you can make bank transfers with Trustly.

The minimum deposit is $10, which is great for low stakes players, and withdrawals have a minimum of just $1. However, the pending period can be long, with 5 business days for Trustly, 2-5 days for Interac, and 3-5 days for anyone using cards. PayPal's the quickest option for cashing out but even this has a 24 to 48 hour pending period. So while the low transfer thresholds are very good, the waiting period isn't something that tickles my fancy.

As always with Ontario online casino sites, crypto isn't on the banking menu because it's deemed illegal by the AGCO.

Customer Support - I Stumbled Across the Hidden Help Centre

FanDuel Casino Ontario does have a help centre, but my goodness they hid it well. I didn't find it with a casual glance or doing ye olde Google for 'help'/'FAQs'. Instead, I searched the home page for 'contact' and clicked the link, but instead of live chat/e-mail the Support Home page will open. Major FAQ categories include My Account, Managing My Money, How to Play, Rewards and Promos, and State Rules and Locations.

In addition, FanDuel Ontario has the standard customer service options of live chat (which can be reached 24/7) and e-mail for those not in need of urgent help. I've got to downgrade the customer support for the difficult to find help centre.

Licensing, Security, Responsible Gambling - AGCO Licensing, and Excellent RG Tools

No licensing is a big red flag and reason enough for me to totally reject a casino as somewhere I might play. As required by law, FanDuel Casino Ontario is licensed by the AGCO (number OPIG1234013). Security can be enhanced by enabling two factor authentication, but this is voluntary by the player.

The site has responsible gaming support tools available. I tend to play with bottle tops, but even so financial discipline is important because it's easy to get carried away. FanDuel Ontario has a comprehensive range of options to customise things for safer gaming. These include limits on deposits, losses, and wagers, plus time. I like the timeout/self-exclusion options as an ultimate step, and the useful reality check (which provides reminders of time/money spent).

Additional resources are external links to third parties that can help with problem behaviour, including Gamblers Anonymous, Talk Suicide Canada, ConnexOntario, and Kindbridge Behavioral Health. I like betting personally, as well as writing about it professionally, and it's important to recognise potential risks. So if you're feeling low or think your betting's getting out of control don't wait: use support tools, contact third parties, and/or self-exclude.

Mobile - Highly Rated and Popular Apps

For mobile gamers, whether iOS or Android fans, apps are available to access the casino when you're out and about. They're highly popular and well-rated, and because games now are designed to work flawlessly on mobiles you shouldn't have any problems. The casino doesn't exactly advertise them, though, so you're better off checking out your app store of choice to find them.

FAQs

Final Opinion - Mostly Good but Withdrawal Problems Sour Things

FanDuel Ontario has a lot to recommend it. The top bar makes navigating games nice and easy, and being able to filter by developer is a nice touch (if a step further to find than expected). And its games are very high quality. The banking methods are a mixed bag as I really like the low threshold but long withdrawal times (and complaints of even longer delays) are irksome.

A feature I loved was the extensive responsible gambling tools to help players stay safe. However, I was really surprised how hard it was to find the 'support home' page and responsible gambling tools were also trickier to find than they should be. This could be quickly remedied, and I hope it is.

Final Opinion and should you play here? I don't see a reason not to. Just be aware of any of the potential pitfalls I've mentioned and maybe test withdrawals before building up too much winnings.
